Lauingen, August 27th 2012.

The new SDF Academy is already being used for a couple of months and shortly, the modification of the extended exhibition hall will also be finished. The DEUTZ-FAHR dealers now have a true customer center at their disposal which comprises modern training rooms, a fan shop, a customer test track and a new exhibition hall with the entire product range.

However, this is not all. Due to the production start of the new DEUTZ-FAHR tractor series 6 with a range from 150 to 200 HP and the new high-power series 7 starting from 200 HP, the company holidays were used to improve manufacturing procedures, establishing the site in Lauingen as a center for the production and knowledge of high-power tractors.

"Until 2015, we will invest a total of about € 53 million in the site at Lauingen. We would like our customers and dealers to have a great experience when they come here to visit us", says Rainer Morgenstern, Managing Director of SAME DEUTZ-FAHR DEUTSCHLAND GmbH. "However, we will not only invest in the expansion of the site, but also in the development of our tractors. In addition to new test sites, we will also hire new engineers in order to manage the development of new models", explains Mr Morgenstern.

By 2015, SDF will invest a total of € 204 million in various areas of the group, of which € 124 million will be used for the development of new products.
